Now

What I'm doing right now.

Updated April 2026 · Berkeley, CA

Training

Running the Mountains 2 Beach Marathon in April. Final build phase, managing a shin issue, and thinking hard about race execution instead of just mileage.

Strength work is still a real priority. Morning lifting, evening running, and continuing to learn what actually transfers across endurance and body-composition goals.

Building

Refreshing this site so the design stays familiar but the architecture becomes durable: structured content, easier editing, and less friction when I want to publish.

Continuing work on Palate, Points Concierge, and a few smaller systems that are easier to keep private until they are ready.

Learning

Patent bar prep, finishing law school coursework, piano as a beginner, and informal wine study through building better tasting tools.

Reading

Reading in clusters right now instead of one neat list: law, training, decision-making, and whatever helps me think more clearly.

Travel

Japan was the big recent trip. Still thinking through how to build better travel systems around the places I actually revisit and care about.

Thinking about

How to design a life that keeps room for law, building, lifting, endurance, and writing without pretending one clean label has to explain all of it.

This is a now page: a snapshot of what I'm focused on at this particular moment. Updated roughly monthly.
